Holiday Outfits * Atuendos de Celebración

HOLA DE NUEVO!!! Un post mas para compensar. En esta ocasión decidí compartir con ustedes lo que pienso ponerme para estas fechas especiales. Espero que les guste. HELLO AGAIN! I decided to do one more post to make up for the time I was too busy to write. In this post I decided to share with you guys the outfits I will be wearing during this Holiday Season. I hope you enjoy this post.

• El primer atuendo que voy a usar es para la cena del 24 de Diciembre. Ya que en Costa Rica diciembre no es igual que frió que en otros países decidí usar un vestido que compre hace un mes mas o menos rosado con blanco, unos zapatos color camel y un bolso que le haga juego, dependiendo de si esta muy frió o no tal vez use una sueta no muy gruesa en color camel también. Para el cabello y el maquillaje voy a hacer un post luego con el look de cada uno.  The first outfit is the one I will wear on Christmas Eve. Since in Costa Rica the weather is not as cold in December like in other countries I will use a dress I got about a month ago white with hot pink. I will pair this with some camel wedges and a leather brown purse to match and depending on how cold it is a camel light sweater. For hair and makeup I will do a post later for each outfit.
  
• El segundo lo voy a usar el 25 de Diciembre ya que generalmente tengo cena con una familia el 24 y almuerzo con otra el 25. En este caso escogí una camisa color menta con estampado floral, unos jeans tubo azul oscuro y unas botas color camel. Ademas voy a usar un bolso también camel pero con barbas y unos detalles en metal. The second outfit will be for Christmas Day since I have lunch with my other part of the family on that day. I decided to wear a mint shirt with a floral print on it along some dark blue jeans and a pair of camel boots. I will also wear a camel purse with some details to complement.
  
• El tercero es para un evento familiar el 26 de Diciembre con toda mi familia que vino de visita. Es un almuerzo y no es super elgante asi que decidi usar una camisa que tiene un estampado de rosas por delante y la parte de atrás es tejida, por la misma razon llevo una camisa interna del mismo color de las rosas. Voy a complementarlo con jeans color celeste, unas sandalias con detalles en dorado y el bolso verde musgo que me regalo mi hermano para mi cumpleaños. For the third outfit that I will wear on the 26th in a family reunion I decided to paired a shirt that has a rose print in the front and knitted details on the back (that is why I will wear a tank top underneath) with some light blue jeans and some sandals with gold details. I will also use the green bag my brother gave me for my birthday.
  
• El cuarto es para el 31 de Diciembre. Este año creo que voy a ir a pasar año nuevo con la familia de mi novio en una zona montañosa que si es un poco mas fría. Por esta razón decidí usar este suéter con diseño tribal el cual compre esta semana. Ya que el suéter por si solo ya llama la atención voy a usar una camisa negra sencilla y unos jeans azul oscuro. Mis zapatos son unos botines negros y también voy a usar un bolso de cuero negro. The fourth outfit is for New Year's Eve. This year I think I will spend this Holiday with my boyfriend's family in the countryside which can be a little bit colder. Therefore, I will use this sweater with a tribal print on it that I got this week. Since the sweater already seems pretty busy I will use a plain black shirt, some dark blue pants, black wedges and a black leather purse.
  
• Finalmente, el primero de enero probablemente pase tiempo con mi familia y tengamos un almuerzo informal y veamos películas así que decidí usar una camisa color turquesa, unos jeans celestes con un diseño de flores en blanco y mis nuevas  botas color café con detalles en metal que no he podido dejar de usar. Finally, on January 1st I will probably grab lunch with my family and chill together watching movies. Therefore, I decided to wear a turquoise loose top, some light blue jeans with some white flowers on it and my new brown boots with metallic details that I haven't been able to take off.

Productos Nuevos * New Products

Hola a todos! Mis disculpas por pasar tanto tiempo sin hacer un post nuevo pero he estado demasiado ocupada con el trabajo, el estudio y como es Navidad mi familia vino de visita. Aproveche que mi familia venia para pedir unos cuantos productos que acá no consigo y quería probar. Hello everybody! I'm really sorry it's been a while since I last posted something but I've been really busy with school and work and since is Holiday season my family came over to visit. I then decided to ask my family to get certain products that I can't find here and I really wanted to try out. 

1. Baby Lips Dr. Rescue: Como todos saben aqui no encuentro Baby Lips y como soy adicta pedi mas. Ahora Maybelline saco una version de Baby Lips que se llama "Dr. Rescue" y es medicado lo que quiere decir que sirve para labios super secos o cuando tenemos alguna ampollita o otra cosa en nuestros labios. Tiene como un olor mentolado y lo he estado usando todas las noches antes de ir a dormir y hasta el momento me gusta bastante. Like you all know I am addicted to Baby Lips and since I can't find any here I asked for some more. Maybelline just took out a special edition called "Dr. Rescue" which is a medicated version that helps with blisters and stuff in our lips, it has a menthol flavor and smell to it and so far so good, I've been using this every night before I go to sleep. This one is in Coral Crave 55.
   
2. Milano Baked Blushes: Una de las marcas que no he podido conseguir acá es Milani. He escuchado cosas super positivas de los rubores de esta marca y definitivamente quería probarlos. Conseguí 2 colores "Dolce Pink" 01 y "Luminoso" 05 que eran los colores que mas había oído hablar de y la verdad estoy super contenta porque sirven como rubor o iluminador y tienen un color bastante rico, definitivamente recomiendo comprar uno si en algun momento ven algo de la marca. One of the brands that I can't find here is Milani. I had heard lots of good things about their baked blushed and decided to try them out. I got 2 colors "Dolce Pink" 01 and "Luminoso" 05 which were the shades I had heard most of and I am actually pretty pleased with them since you can contour, shape and highlight with it and their pigment is actually pretty good. If you ever ran into this brand I would recommend you to grab at least one because you won't regret it.
   
   
   
   
3. Rimmel Scandaleyes eyeliner: Rimmel es otra marca que no se encuentra en Costa Rica y había oído muy buenos comentarios sobre sus delineadores de ojos por su textura y duración. Yo en lo particular me delineo mis ojos con negro todos los días así que pedí un lápiz color negro. Es super cremoso y tiene una pigmentación muy buena, esta versión es a prueba de agua lo que hace que de verdad dure casi todo el día , lo juro, así que definitivamente voy a sufrir cuando se acabe y por ende es otro producto recomendado. Rimmel is also one of the brands that I can't find in Costa Rica and since I had heard so many good comments regarding their scandaleyes eyeliners I decided to ask for a black one because I line my waterline with this color almost every day. It is actually really creamy and super pigmented and since this is a waterproof version the color lasts almost all day, I swear, and therefore is another recommended product for sure.
   

 Obviamente pedi Baby Lips normales y BB Cream también pero como ya había hecho un post sobre los mismos me parece ilógico usarlo de nuevo. Ademas pedí un joystick mas de la linea de maquillaje de las Kardashian ya que me fascino el que compre unos meses atrás en NYC pero al parecer a todas les gustan muchísimo porque estaban agotados en todas las farmacias y sucursales. I also asked for normal Baby Lips and BB Cream but since I had already posted about them I did not include them. I also asked for another Joystick from the Kardashian makeup line because I love the one I got in NYC but apparently everybody loves them as much as I do because they were sold out everywhere.

Birthday Presents!!! Regalos de Cumpleaños!!!

HOLA GENTE!!! La semana pasada me fue imposible compartir con ustedes porque entre la universidad y el trabajo casi me vuelvo loca. Sin embargo, el jueves pasado Dios me regalo otro año de vida y recibí varios regalos y pensé que seria buena idea compartirlo con ustedes y así darles ideas navideñas!!! Espero que lo disfruten! HELLO EVERYBODY! Last week was almost impossible to share with you guys because between the university and work I almost went nuts!! But it turns out that last Thursday it was my birthday and I got a few presents that I thought I would share with you so you can use as inspiration for Christmas presents! Hope you enjoy it!

1. Bolso Verde * Green studed bag: Este fue el regalo de parte de mi hermano +Renzo Avila. Fuimos de compras este fin de semana por el viernes negro y entramos a PRONTO y toda las tienda tenia un 25% de descuento. Desde hace algún tiempo venia buscando un bolso color verde musgo para un vestido en particular y cuando vi este no solo me pareció que tiene un tamaño bastante conveniente sino que también los detalles el dorado y el material me encantaron. Próximamente voy a escribir una entrada con ideas de outfits de mi closet y voy a incluir este bolso para que vean como lo combinaria en caso de que crean que este color es difícil de usar. This was my brother´s present. We went shopping this weekend for black Friday sales and we went into a store called PRONTO in C.R and all the store had a 25% off. I have been looking for a green bag for a while for a specific dress I own and when I saw this one not only did I like the size but the gold studs and the velvet material were awesome. This month I will make a post with outfit ideas from my closet and I will include this bag so you guys have an idea on how to wear this color in case you find it difficult. 
                  
   
   
   
2. Crema Bronceadora *Sun Kissed Bronze Instan Self-Tan lotion: Este fue uno de los regalos que me dio mi tía (ella también me regalo ropa pero como dije voy a dedicar un post solo a ropa mas adelante) y es una crema bronceadora de Victoria's Secret. Cabe recalcar que no es por así decirlo un bronceador sino una crema que al ponértela hace que tus piernas o cuerpo se vea con un poquito mas de color pero sin exagerar. Siempre es bueno tener una de estas cremas en caso de que tengamos un pasea a la playa y estemos super pálidas porque nos va a dar un poco de colore sin que se vea falso y ademas esta es la primera que tengo que huele riquísimo (como a coco) ya que otras marcas tienen estas cremas pero huelen horrible.  I got this from my aunt (she also got me clothes but I will do a clothing post later on) and it is a self-tan lotion from Victoria's Secret. It is important to mention that this is not a powerful tanning lotion but it will give you a nice glow in your legs or body without going too crazy. I consider it is good to own one of these in case you have a trip to the beach and you're looking really pale because it will give us a bit of color plus it smells super good, there are other lotions like this one in the market but this one is the one that I believe smells the best (like coconut). 
   
3. Brochas de maquillaje Eco Tools * Eco Tools makeup brushes: Este fue uno de los regalos de mi novio +Pablo Saborio. Como ya saben me fascina el maquillaje y hace tiempo quería comprarme un set de brochas. Estas en particular son hechas de materiales reciclados lo cual es un plus y cada una viene con un estuche para transportarlas en caso de que uno viaje o vaya de paseo para que no se maltraten. Conseguimos estos 2 sets, el de la izquierda es un kit básico para ojos con 5 brochas y el de la derecha es un kit básico para la cara con 4 brochas (una para la cara, otra para los ojos, otra para las cejas y una para los labios). Por supuesto ya las use y me gustan mucho, son super suaves y por si tienen alguna duda de para que es cada brocha el empaque lo especifica y las brochas tienen nombre asi que no hay como perderse. These were one part of my boyfriend's gift this year. Like you all know I love makeup and I wanted a good set of makeup brushes. These ones in particular are made of recycled material which makes them even cooler and each set comes in a travel package in case you have to take them with you and don't want them to get damaged. We got 2 sets, the one on the left is a basic eye makeup set with 5 brushes and the one on the right is a basic face kit (one brush for the face, the eyes, the eyebrows and the lips). I already use them, of course, and I love them, they are super soft and in case you don't know what they are for each package specifies and each brush has its name on it so you can't get lost. 
   
4. Estuche Inteligente IPad *IPad Smart Case: Este fue otro de los regalos de mi novio. Hace mas o menos 1 año y medio compre un IPad 3 y obviamente compre un estuche en ese momento pero no lo había cambiado desde entonces y ya estaba super super mal y por eso Pablo me regalo uno nuevo este cumpleaños. Fuimos a la Icon Store y vimos varias opciones pero decidimos llevarnos este "Smart Case" que pone el IPad a dormir cuando lo cierras y lo enciende cuando lo abres, ademas se puede usar como base también y viene en colores bastante llamativos. Yo por supuesto quise el rosado (jeje) y el material es super chiva. Definitivamente de los mejores regalos que recibí este año. This was another present from my boyfriend. Around a year and a half ago I got an IPad 3 and of course I got a case to go with it and hadn't change it since then and it was already dead, so my boyfriend decided to give me one for my birthday this year. We went to the Icon Store and saw a few styles but this "Smart Case" from Apple was the winner. It puts your IPad to sleep when you close the case and turns it back on when you open it. You can also use this as a base and it comes in really colorful styles. I got the pink one of course and the material is very very cool. 5. The Hunger Games Catching Fire: El ultimo regalo que me dio Pablo fue ir a ver The Hunger Games Catching Fire al VIP del cine. Si me conocen sabe que The Hunger Games es mi libro favorito y de la triologia este es mi favorito asi que tenia que ver la película. Hay que ser honestos y decir que la película no es una replica 100% del libro pero quedamos bastante satisfechos con la adaptación y los efectos visuales están buenísimos. Recomiendo la pelicula y los libros definitivamente tienen que verlas y leerlos. The final present I got from Pablo was tickets to see The Hunger Games Catching Fire in the VIP launch. For those of you who know me you already know that this is my favorite book and the second one was my favorite out of the three so I had to go and see the movie for sure. I have to be honest and say that it is not a 100% faithful replica of the book but we are pretty satisfied with the adaptation and the special effects are really cool. I recommend you to check out this movie if you haven't and also to read the books cause I assure you they are pretty awesome.

25 Facts About Me * 25 Cosas Sobre Mi

Hola a todos!!!! Como hoy es viernes voy a hacer una entrada diferente y voy a compartir con ustedes 25 cosas sobre mi! Pensé que seria una buena idea para que conozcan un poco mas de mi ya que se toman el tiempo de visitar este blog y leer las cosas que escribo!!! Espero no lo encuentren tan aburridisimo y ya el lunes vuelvo a la normalidad!!! Hello Everybody! Since today is Friday I will post something different and share with you 25 random facts about me. I figure since you guys take the time to check out my blog and what I post it would be a great way for you to get to know me better. So I hope you don't find this super boring and I promise on Monday I'll go back to normal!!!

EMPEZEMOS******* LET'S START

1. Mi nombre completo es Graciela, pero de cariño me dicen Gra, Grace o Chela, Cuando nací mi mama tenia pensado ponerme Amanda o Sofia pero cuando me vio y le preguntaron como me llamaba ella dijo: Graciela. My full name is Graciela but people usually call me Gra, Grace or Chela. When I was born my mom was going to name me Amanda or Sofia but when they brought me to her and ask what my name was going to be she said: Graciela.
2. Nací un 28 de Noviembre ( cumplo 24 en una semana) por eso amo los últimos meses del año porque celebro mi cumpleaños, navidad y año nuevo y recibo muchos regalos en esos meses!! I was born on November 28th (I'll be 24 in a week) and that is why I love the last 2 months of the year because I celebrate my birthday, Christmas and New Year's and get tons of presents during those months!!!
3. Tengo una hermana mayor que se llama Estefania (26) y un hermano menor que se llama Renzo (22) y si me preguntan a mi no nos parecemos en nada, es como si mis papas nos hubieran adoptado a todos de familias diferentes. I have an older sister named Estefania (26) and a younger brother named Renzo (22) and if you ask me we do not look alike at all, it is as if our parents adopted us from different families.
4. Amo la música!!! Desde que soy pequeña canto y bailo todo el día (pregúntenle a quien sea, es 100% verdad) simplemente es super importante en mi vida y siento que hace todo mejor!! I love music! Since I was a little girl I sing and dance all day (ask anybody, 100% true) I just think it is really important in my life and makes everything better!.
5. Soy adicta a 2 bebidas: café y coca light. En cuanto al café no es que tomo mucho durante el día pero si no lo tomo en la mañana mi día simplemente no funciona y en cuanto a la coca light ni siquiera voy a tocar el tema, todo el que me conoce sabe que soy una adicta en recuperación, estoy tratando de tomar lo menos posible porque se que no es buena para mi pero hay días que tengo recaídas y podría matar a alguien jejeje. I'm addicted to 2 beverages: coffee and diet coke. When it comes to coffee I do not drink lots of it but if I don't have coffee in the mornings my day simply does not work and regarding diet coke I'm not even going to go there, if you know me you know I'm an addict on recovery because I'm trying to cut off the amount I normally drink because it is not good for your health but sometimes I have my relapses and I could kill someone for a diet coke jejeje.
6. Tengo un perro que se llama Oso al que rescatamos de una bolsa de basura, va a cumplir 4 años de estar conmigo en mi cumpleaños y lo amo!!! El es mi animal y yo soy su humano y tenemos la mejor relación del mundo (se que tan loco suena pero es verdad). I have a little dog called Oso or Cub in English. Next week will be 4 years since we rescued him on my birthday from a garbage bag and  I just love him. He is my animal and I am its human and we have the best relationship in the world ( it sounds crazy I know but it is true).
7. Amo a los animales y no entiendo como hay personas que les pueden hacer daño, simplemente en mi cabeza ese día no tiene ni jamas tendrá sentido ni justificación. I love animal and I just do not understand how people can hurt them , that idea just does not make sense to me at all and has no justification in my book.
8. Soy bastante pequeña, mido 1.54 m. I'm really small, I'm about 1.54 m.
9. Algunas personas dicen que soy adicta a las compras pero yo siempre digo "Jamas lo he hecho ni lo volvere a hacer" jeje !! A lot of people say I´m a shopaholic but I always say "I have never done it or will do it again" jeje!!
10. Cuando estaba mas joven solia pintar en olio y dibujar en carbón pero llevo mucho de no hacerlo. When I was younger I used to paint a lot with Oleo and did charcoal drawings all the time but I haven't done so in a long long time.
11. Amo el arte y creo que el maquillaje y la moda son una expresión artística también. I love art and I think makeup and fashion are also an art expression form.
12. Soy alérgica a mil cosas pero principalmente a los gatos y a la carne roja. I'm allergic to a ton of stuff but specially cats and red meat.
13. En general no soy muy ordenada que digamos pero por ningun motivo, razon o circunstancia mi cama puede estar desordenada o destendida. Sino la puedo tender a penas llego lo hago aunque me vaya a acostar en 5 minutos (lo se, estoy loca). I'm not a very very neat person but by no means my bed can be undone, I don't care if  I'm going to bed in 5 minutes I just have to make my bed ( I'm crazy I know).
14. Mi color favorito es el morado o el purpura y se supone que el color trae tranquilidad mental y espiritual. My favorite color is purple and supposedly this color brings mental and spiritual peace.
15. Tengo un bachillerato en Ingles como segundo idioma y estoy sacando mi licenciatura en Enseñanza del Ingles. I have a Bachelor's Degree on English as a Second Language and now I'm in my Masters for English Teaching.
16. Hablo Spanglish todo el día, mi cerebro simplemente se mueve de un idioma al otro en segundos y los combino todo el tiempo, gracias a Dios mi novio habla los 2 idiomas tambien y no tengo problemas con esto. I speak spanglish all day long, my brain just goes from one language to another in seconds and I combined them all the time. Thank God, my boyfriend speaks English also , so this is not such a big deal.
17. Mi libro favorito son Los Juegos del Hambre (la segunda película se estrena el día de mi cumpleaños y estoy mas emocionada por la película que por el hecho de que nací ese día) lei la triologia como en una semana. My favorite book is The Hunger Games (the second movie premieres on my birthday and I'm more excited about that than the fact that I was born on that day) I just went throught the three books in a week and I love them!!
18. Mi IPod es mas importante que mi teléfono. My Ipod it is more important than my phone.
19. Mi comida favorita es la italiana o el sushi, podría comer pizza o rollos Philadelphia todos los días pero si soy mas dulcera! AMO LOS POSTRES! My favorite food is Italian and sushi, I can have pizza or Philadelphia rolls every day, but I definitly have a sweet tooth. I LOVE DESSERTS!
20. Tengo el peor balance del mundo, no solo me caigo constantemente sino que también boto todo siempre. Mi novio me dice "Dropper Gra" que significa "Gra la que se le cae todo" en Ingles. I have the worst sense of balance in the world, so not only do I fall A LOT but I also drop everything all the time. My boyfrined calls me "Dropper Gra" because I can't help it.
21. Amo las conchas de mar y una de mis actividades favoritas es recolectarlas cuando voy a la playa mientras camino a la orilla del mar. I love seashells and one of my favorite things to do when I go to the beach is collect them while I'm walking close to the shore.
22. Una de mis actividades favoritas es viajar o ir de paseo. En 2 segundos estoy en un avión y no lo pienso 2 veces. Me gustaría ir a Europa o a Bora Bora. One of my favorite activities to do is to travel around the world. In 2 seconds I'm on a plane no questions asked. I still want to go to Europe and Bora Bora.
23. Cuando era mas joven mis papas se divorciaron y eso ha sido una de las experiencias mas difíciles que he tenido que experimentar pero definitivamente ha tenido un impacto grandisimo en la persona que soy el día de hoy. When I was growing up my parents got divorced and it was one of the hardest things I had to go through but I believe it had a huge impact on the kind of person I am today.
24. Cuando era mas joven tenia muchos problemas de autoestima y ansiedad y pase por momentos muy dificultes personalmente, pero gracias a Dios he aprendido que todos somos hermosos y únicos. Comprendí que todo empieza desde adentro y ahora me considero mas hermosa que nunca antes. When I was younger I had lots of confidence and anxiety issues and I went through very hard times personally, but thank God I have learned that we are all beautiful and unique, I understood that everything starts from the inside and I feel more beautiful and gorgeous than I ever had before.
25. Creo que la clave del éxito en la vida es el AMOR. el amor por uno mismo, por los demás, por lo que hacemos, por nuestros sueños, por Dios, por esa persona que nos cambia la vida cuando nos devuelve el amor que le dimos. Para mi todo es posible con AMOR y hoy puedo decir que estoy perdidamente ENAMORADA. I believe that the key to success in life is LOVE. The love we have towards ourselves, towards others, what we do, our dreams, God, and the love we give to that person that changes our life when they give back the love we gave them. HOLA!!! Estoy super contenta de poder compartir con ustedes de nuevo esta semana. En el ultimo mes tuve la oportunidad de comprar productos nuevos y quería compartirlos con ustedes y decirles que pienso de ellos por si les interesa y quieren comprarlos!! HELLO! I'm super excited I get to share with you guys again this week. During the last month I had the chance to purchase new beauty products and I wanted to share them with you and tell you guys what I think about them in case you are interested in purchasing some of them.

MAKEUP *MAQUILLAJE:

• ALMAY Smart Shade Perfect & Correct Primer: Esto es un corrector de color primario que suaviza y corrige el tono de la piel con lavanda que ayuda a emparejar el tono e iluminar la piel y te verde para reducir las zonas rojas. Esto se pone antes de usar base y corrector y prepara la piel para que el maquillaje dure mas. Al igual que cada obra de arte empieza con un lienzo limpio, lo mismo pasa con el maquillaje. La verdad desde que uno pone un poco en la cara se siente la diferencia y en lo personal me gusta muchísimo porque siento que si ayuda a que mi base se vea muchísimo mas natural así que lo recomiendo 100%.  This is a perfect and correct primer that instantly smoothes and colors correct skin. It has lavender to even out and brighten skin tone and green tea to reduce redness. You should use this before you put on foundation or concealer so your makeup looks more natural and lasts longer. Just like every piece of art starts with a clean canvas so does makeup. • ALMAY Nearly Naked Loose Powder - ALMAY wake up Undereye concealer: Estos son unos polvos translucidos y un corrector de ojeras también de ALMAY. En lo personal prefiero los polvos translucidos que los compactos porque me parece que uno tiene mayor control del producto y estos en particular tiene muy buena cobertura y el empaque es bastante grande así que asumo que me van a durar por mucho tiempo. También compre este corrector de ojeras específicamente por el aplicador que tiene y honestamente es increíble, se mezcla muy bien con la base, no es muy espeso en consistencia y cubre las ojeras super bien. These are a loose powder and a under eye concealer from ALMAY also. Personally, I like loose powder rather than compact ones because I feel I have more control of the product and the amount I need and this one in particular are very good with a great coverage and the packaging in really big which means it will last for a long time. I also got this concealer specifically because of the way you apply it and honestly is amazing, it is not thick in consistency and gets the job done plus it blends beautifully with your foundation.
  
  
  
• ALMAY intense i-color: Esta marca tiene una linea de productos según el color de ojos que tenemos y esto me parece increíble porque a veces no sabemos que tonos usar para resaltar el color de nuestros ojos. De todos los productos que compre este es mi favorito porque la contextura de las sombras es increíble, se sienten como seda o algo así, ademas trae las instrucciones de como usar los color y en que parte del ojo debemos poner cada tono y lo explica de manera bastante sencilla y concreta. Si eres una de las que no están segura que colores usar o como esta es una muy buena opción, prometo no se van a arrepentir y van a comprar mas. This brand has a collection for each different eye color which I believe is amazing because lots of girls do not know which color will suit their eye color best. From all the products this one is definitly one of my favorites so far, the consistency is amazing and the shades are very pigmented and nice; plus the package has the instruction on how to apply each shade and where which is also very useful. If you are not sure what colors suit you best these eye shadows will solve your problem, you will fall in love with them and go back for more.
  
• ALMAY Smart Shade Powder Blush and Bronzer: Tambien compre 2 rubores en polvo (uno en color rosado y otro en color coral) y un bronceador en polvo. Todo lo que sea de la colección de Smart Shade se supone que es inteligente y se mezcla perfectamente con el tono de tu piel. Anteriormente había hecho la critica del polvo compacto de esta misma colección y dije que no me convenció pero quise darle una segunda oportunidad y la verdad estos me gustan mas. La verdad no son productos que quedan super fuertes, mas bien son super sutiles y le dan a tu piel un tono sutil que complemente nuestra base. Si son de las que les gusta el maquillaje discreto y sutil estos productos definitivamente les van a encantar y si por casualidad alguna no sabe para que es un bronceador o como aplicarlo( o el rubor) y quieren que lo explique haganmelo saber! I also got 2 powder blushes ( a pink one and a coral one) and a bronzer. Everything that belongs to the Smart Shade collection is supposed to match your skin tone perfectly. I had reviewed before their compact powder and was not very pleased with it but I decided to give this a second chance and so far so good. These products are not meant to be super pigmented but to blend with your foundation in a very sutil but flawless way. If you look for a more natural look in your makeup you will definitely love these products. NAIL POLISH *PINTURA DE UÑAS

• Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Nail Color: Resulta que alguien llego a ofrecerme pintura de uñas de esta marca que aparentemente es bastante conocida en otros países y decidí probar algunos colores (bueno muchos colores).La marca tiene diferentes tipos. Los que dicen Xtreme Wear se supone que duran por mas tiempo. Cuando se trataba de pintura de uñas generalmente usaba Avon pero la verdad es que no me duraba nada la pintura en mis uñas y decidí probar estos y la verdad me gustan muchísimo. No solo son de muy buena calidad sino que también tienen colores increíbles y son bastante accesibles ( 2500 colones). Las consigo en Walmart o Auto Mercado. So a friend of mine was selling this brand of nail polish and I decided to give it a try since I heard tons of good stuff about this in other countries so I decided to try a few shades (well a ton). The brand offers different kinds and these Xtreme Wear ones are supposed to last for a longer period of time. Normally I use Avon but my nail polish would fall off in less than a week so I tried this brand and I have to say that I really like them. • Sally Hansen Instant-Dri Nail color: Estos se suponen que son de secado rápido y secan en menos de 30 segundos. En lo personal he probado bastantes en esta modalidad pero ninguno me convence. En cuanto al secado rápido si es cierto pero no duran nada, al día siguiente ya se esta cayendo el color de las uñas pero por lo menos los colores son bastante lindos. These type are supposed to be fast dry ( in less than 30 seconds). Personally, I haven't find a nail polish under this modality that I really like, not because they do not fast dry, they do, but the color is falling off next day but at least the shades are very pretty.

Outfit Ideas * Ideas de Outfits

Hola a todos! Ya que Navidad esta a la vuelta de la esquina y para mi eso significa compras!!!! Pensé que seria una buena idea compartir con ustedes ideas de outfits por si necesitan ideas a la hora de buscar ciertas cosas en estas fiestas! Espero les sirva de algo! Hello Everybody! Since Christmas is right around the corner and for me that means shopping! I figure it would be a good idea to give you outfits ideas so you can use them while you are picking up pieces! Hope you find this useful!

• Camisa a cuadros *Plaid Shirt: El centro de este outfit es una camisa a cuadros, estas camisas pueden usarse de manera formal o informal dependiendo de como la combinamos. En lo personal me gusta mucho usar piezas que se vean un poco masculinas y darle un toque super femenino con el resto de los accesorios que usamos, ademas estas camisas nunca pasan de moda y todas deberíamos tener una en el closet. Por eso combine esta camisa de cuadros negra con rojo junto con unos jeans tubo, unos zapatos de muñeca, un bolso de cuero negro, accesorios rojos y un moño alto. The center of this outfit is a plaid shirt. These shirts can be used in a formal or informal way depending on how we combined them. Personally, I love to use masculine pieces and give them a really feminine twist with the accessories I choose, plus these types of shirts are always on trend and come on handy in an emergency so we should all own one. I paired a red and black plaid shirt with black skinny jeans, black flats, a black leather bag, red accessories and a hair bow.
  
• Coral: El color coral esta muy de moda aun y para las que vivimos en países en donde las estaciones no son marcadas y en invierno hace sol podemos usar este color todo el año. La clave cuando usamos colores como estos es dejarlos ser el centro de atención y mantener el resto bastante neutral para que el color resalte. En esta ocasión tome una chaqueta color coral y la combine con una camisa color crema claro, unos jeans tubo celeste, unas sandalias bajas con detalles en dorado, coral y turquesa, un bolso color camel y accesorios con detalles coral y oro ademas de lentes de sol. This color is very trendy still and for those like me that do not live in countries with much defined seasons we can use this color year around! The key when we used these vibrant colors is to keep the rest of the outfit simple so the color can really pop out and be the center of our outfit. In this occasion, I took a coral jacket and paired it with a cream top, a washed off jeans, sandals with details in coral, gold and turquoise, a camel bag and accessories on coral and gold as well as sunglasses.
  
• Printed Sweaters *Suetas con diseño: Especialmente durante estos meses hay una brisa fría que me fascina y permite que usemos ropa un poco mas caliente. Las suetas con diseños están muy de moda y son hermosisimas y delicadisimas y se ven hermosas si me preguntas a mi. Para este atuendo decidí usar no solo una sueta con un diseño de flores sino también un pantalón de color verde musgo para que haga que el diseño de la sueta resalte aun mas; lo combine con un bolso del mismo color verde y unos zapatos de muñeca y un anillo color crema. Podemos usar un color de labios mas fuerte y poner nuestro cabello en un colo de medio lado y listo. Especially during these months there is a cold breeze that allows us to wear clothes that are a bit more warming. The printed sweaters that are now so in fashion are super cute and feminine and I find them super gorgeous! For this outfit I took a floral printed sweater and paired it with a dark green pair of pants so that the flower design in the sweater can really pop out; I then used a bag in the same green color as well as flats and a ring on a cream color. With this outfit we can use a more vibrant lip and put our hair on a low side pony tail and you are all done.
  
• Denim* Mezclilla: Las camisas de mezclilla esta muy de moda y a mi parecer son super cómodas y faciles de combinar. En este caso use una camisa de mezclilla y para que resaltara lo combine con unos pantalones color mostaza y botas bajas café. Los accesorios los use en color oro y también use un bolso y un reloj de cuero café. Denim shirts are super in right now and I think they look awesome and are super comfy and easy to combine. In this case I paired a denim shirt with a mustard pair of pants and brown army boots. The accessories I used were in gold and I also used a brown leather watch and bag.
  
• Black leather* Cuero Negro: Las chaquetas de cuero nunca pasan de moda y le dan a cualquier outfit un toque especial así que si aun no tienes una deberías agregarla a tu closet. Este outfit es un poco mas sofisticado. Use una enagua de esas que están  muy de moda que son mas cortas adelante y mas largas atrás en un color como naranja rojizo y la combine con una camisa de tirantes negra simple y una chaqueta de cuero negra. Para que nuestras piernas se vean aun mas largas use unos botines negros y los accesorios en ambos tonos. Para este look como es un poco mas elaborado seria buena idea hacerte algo en el cabello no muy complicado pero que si se vean peinadito y listo! Black leather jackets are always in and they give any outfit a special touch, so if you don't own one you should definitely add this one to your closet. This outfit is a bit more put together, I used one of those skirts that are very popular lately that are shorter at the front and longer at the back in a reddish orange and I paired it with a black tank top and a black leather jacket. To make our legs look even longer I use some high heel ankle boots and accessories in both colors. Since this outfit is a bit more glamorous you can do something to your hair so it looks pretty and done and you are ready.
  
• Black and beige * Negro y beige: Entre las diferentes tendencias que hay en este momento las leggins de cuero son definitivamente muy populares. Yo creo que para que las leggins destaquen hay que usarlas con un color mas claro. En este caso use una leggins de cuero negro con una camisa mas flojita color beige y unos zapatos del mismo color. Utilice accesorios de color negro y oro y mantuve el maquillaje fuerte en los ojos y suave en los labios. Among the most popular trends right now, leather leggings are in the top places. I believe that in order to really show off your back leather legging you should paired them up with a more neutral tone, so that is what I did. I used a beige color top and high heel shoe and gold and black accessories. When it comes to makeup you can have a stronger eye look with a light lip.

HOLA A TODOS!!!! Disculpas por haber pasado mas de una semana sin escribir pero la vida ha estado increíblemente ocupada y ademas he estado un poquito enferma! Pero aquí estoy de nuevo para compartir con ustedes una entrada que me fue solicitada  y que con muchísimo gusto aceptamos el reto! Básicamente hoy vamos a ver como usar el color en nuestro maquillaje, consejos básicos y otras cosillas por ahí que nos pueden ser bastante útiles! HELLO EVERYBODY!! I'm so so sorry it’s been over a week since my last post but life has just gotten in the way and to be honest I have been a little bit sick. Nevertheless, here I am again to share with you guys a post that was requested and that I accepted as a challenge! Basically, today we are going to learn how to use color on our makeup, basic advice and a few more things that can be pretty useful for you!

3 clases de maquillaje * 3 Types of makeup:

1. El primer tipo de maquillaje es en el que queremos enfatizar nuestros ojos. Si decidimos que nuestros ojos serán el centro de atención entonces nuestros labios deben de complementar el maquillaje y no opacarlo por ende van a ir en un color mas natural y claro. The first type of makeup is the one in which we want to give emphasis to our eyes. If we decide that our eyes are going to be the center of attention, then our lips should complement not take away the attention which means they have to be more natural and light.
   
   
   
2. El segundo tipo de maquillaje es en el que queremos enfatizar nuestros labios. Igual que lo mencione anteriormente si queremos enfatizar los labios entonces los ojos deben de ser super naturales y no muy cargados porque queremos que nuestros labios se lleven toda la atención por lo que lo mejor seria segurarnos que nuestros labios esten en las mejores condiciones. The second one is the type of makeup in which we want to emphasize our lips. Just like I said before, if we want our lips to have all the attention our eyes must be natural and not too heavy because we want people to notice our lips. Therefore, it would be better if our lips are in their best condition and well hydrated.
   
3. El tercero es el que es mas neutral, aquí no queremos hacer ningún énfasis especifico simplemente queremos asegurarnos que nuestro maquillaje este balanceado y se vea natural pero lindo. The third one id the one in which we do not want to emphasize anything in particular, we just want to make sure our makeup is even, natural but still pretty.
   

Que colores te quedan mejor?* What colors suit you best?

Una vez que decidimos que clase de maquillaje queremos, entonces pasamos a saber cuales son los tonos que mas nos van. Como? Super fácil... tenemos que ver cual es el color de nuestras venas. Si son azules nuestras tonalidades son frías lo que quiere decir que los colores que mas nos van tanto para sombras como para labiales o brillos son: Rojo sangre, rosa hielo, fucsia, nude, azul, verde, grises o plateados. Si por el contrario tus venas son verdes significa que tu tonalidad es cálida. Esto sigfica que tus coloresson: naranja, durazno, nectarín, café, chocolate, vino, rosa viejo, hueso,etc. Si no puedes distinguir quiere decir que tuviste la gran fortuna de poder usar la mayoria de los colores que ya mencione. Afortunada!!! Once we have decided which type of makeup we want, then we need to know which our undertone is. This in order to know which colors suit us best. How? Super easy, just look at the veins behind your wrist. I f they are blue that means that you are cold, which means that the colors you should use from eye shadow and lipstick are: bloody red, icy pink, fuchsia, blues, green, gray and silver. If the veins are green that means you are warm and your colors are: orange, peach, nectarine, browns, chocolate, wine, bone and old pink. If by any chance you can't tell if your veins are blue or green it means that you are a combination of the 2 and get to use pretty much any color!!! Lucky you!

5 consejos al maquillarte con color * 5 Tips for your makeup with color:

1.  Probar- Try: Si no estas segura de como se va a ver un color de labial o sombras en tu tono piel intenta ponerte un poco en la parte superior de tu mano. Si te gusta como se ve quiere decir que en tus labios o ojos se va a ver muy similar. If you do not know how a certain color would look on your skin tone just take a little bit and put it on the back of your hand. If you like how it looks it means that you will like it once it is on your face.
2. Preguntar* Ask: No te de miedo preguntar. Las muchachas en los puestos de maquillaje están ahí por una razón y es mejor preguntar que arrepentirse luego por comprar algo que no vas a usar. Don't be afraid to ask, the ladies in all the makeup stores are there for a reason. It is better to ask than to buy something you will not use later.
3. Practicar*Practice: Probablemente nos va a llevar mas de un intento lograr el look de maquillaje que queremos. Si quieres usar un maquillaje nuevo para un evento importante practica antes del dia para que veas que puedes hacer mejor y este lista para ese día. It is very likely that we would need to try more than once till we get that perfect makeup look we are looking for. If you want to wear a new makeup look for an special event you should practice beforehand so you can see what can be done better and be ready for the day.
4. Atreverse* Dare: A veces el color puede ser un poco intimidante pero solo hay que atreverse y probar cosas nuevas. Muchas personas me dicen que les fascina mi labial pero que ellas nunca se lo pondrían. Mi consejo, inténtalo por lo menos una vez y si no te gusta esta bien pero nunca sabrás hasta que lo intentes. Sometimes color can be a little intimidating, but you just have to dare to try new things. A lot of girls tell me they love my lipstick color but they would never use it. My advice is to try at least once and if you don't like then that's fine, but you would never know if you don't try.
5. Se tu mismo* Be you: Para mi el maquillaje tambien es una expresion artistica y con el maquillaje tambien expresamos como nos sentimos. Asi que no importa lo que quieras intentar simplemente se tu misma y si a ti te gusta entonces no dejes que los demas se metan en tu cabeza! For me makeup is an art expression in which we express how we feel. So, no matter what just be yourself and if you like it then don't let anybody else get in the way.
